(Columbia, South Carolina) – The South Carolina Manufacturers Alliance President & CEO, Sara Hazzard, released the following statement regarding Governor Henry McMaster’s 2020 State of the State Address:

“The manufacturing community applauds Governor McMaster’s focus and commitment in improving South Carolina’s education system. Workforce development is the number one issue affecting our industry, and the SCMA believes that our students should have the opportunity to earn an education that leads to meaningful employment and economic prosperity. We look forward to working with Governor McMaster and our State’s leaders to advance education policies and workforce development opportunities that will benefit South Carolinians today and for many generations to come.”
