SC Manufacturers Alliance Announces New Hire

(Columbia, SC) – The South Carolina Manufacturers Alliance (SCMA) announced today that it has hired Sunny Philips as its Vice President of Member Relations.

Philips will be responsible for membership development, overseeing conferences and events, and fund development for SC Future Makers.

“Sunny has a passion for manufacturing and is well-known in the South Carolina business and political communities,” said Sara Hazzard, President & CEO of the South Carolina Manufacturers Alliance. “Her extensive knowledge of our industry and hands-on approach to member services will be a great asset to our team.”

Philips has a strong background in association event management, membership recruitment, and political and nonprofit fundraising. 

Prior to joining SCMA, Philips served as Executive Vice President of Investor Relations at the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce. For ten years she led The Philips Group which focused on managing fund development for political candidates and non-profits.

She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of South Carolina.

She lives in Columbia with her husband and four daughters.
