(Spartanburg, SC) – Today, the South Carolina Manufacturers Alliance (SCMA) recognized 104 industrial facilities throughout the state for outstanding workplace safety accomplishments during 2018.

Facilities with a low rate of incidents resulting in lost workdays, job transfers or restrictions were nominated for recognition. Plants submitting an incidence rate below the statewide average for their NAICS code received an award during the SCMA Safety Summit.

“The companies who earn this award are held to very high standards,” said Sara Hazzard, President & CEO of the South Carolina Manufacturers Alliance. “Strong company cultures recognize that their most valuable assets are their associates and that safe working environments is a collaborative and constant necessity every day. We are proud to honor so many South Carolina facilities for their commitment and achievements in safety excellence.”
