The Lowcountry Manufacturers Council (LMC) is an organization focused on the unique issues and common goals of the manufacturing sector. The mission of the Lowcountry Manufacturers Council is to enhance the competitiveness, promote development and impact the manufacturing sector of the Lowcountry of South Carolina.

As a regional division of the South Carolina Manufacturers Alliance (SCMA), the LMC offers manufacturers in the Lowcountry the added benefit of a regional council dedicated to local efforts and lead by local industry executives. Together, the LMC and the SCMA are South Carolina's leading advocate for manufacturing.

The LMC hosts bi-monthly roundtable luncheons that offer informative speakers on relevant topics.  The luncheons are at no additional cost of members and is open to a limited number of guests to foster communications, idea-sharing, and interaction among manufacturing professionals. This organizations is proactive in addressing the workforce development needs of the region.  The Workforce Development Committee works in partnership with regional organizations, educators, community leaders, and local industry to raise awareness about manufacturing and employers' needs.
